Privacy policy
This policy explains how Rufio James Wedding Films (“I”, “me”) uses the personal information you share through this website. Last updated October 2026.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry I collect the details you enter: your names, email address, phone number (if given), wedding date, venue, package interest, how you found me and your message.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry, check availability and send a quote.
- If you book, to plan, film and deliver your wedding film and to manage your booking and payments.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract once you book, and keeping proper business records as the law requires.
Who sees it
I never sell your information. It’s only handled by the services I use to run the business, such as my website host (Netlify, which receives form submissions) and my email provider. If you book a package that includes photography, I share the details the photographer needs to cover your day.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into a booking are deleted within 12 months. If you book, I keep booking and payment records for 6 years for tax purposes.
Cookies and videos
This site doesn’t set its own tracking cookies. Films are hosted on YouTube and only load when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Once a film plays, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you at any time. Email rufio@rufiojames.com. If you’re unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
